On the first Saturday of May, Valley Telephone Cooperative held its 55th Annual membership meeting at San Simon School in San Simon, AZ.
A good size crowd from all the co-op communities was on hand as Valley’s own Camme Carlson-Watkins sang a wonderful rendition of the National Anthem directly following the Pledge of Allegiance. The Treasurer’s report was presented followed by reports from Board President David Thompson and Valley CEO / GM Steve Metts.
Following these presentations came reports from the Scholarship and Nomination committees along with results from a Bylaw Amendment vote and Election Results for Directors. This was followed by scholarship presentations totaling over $150,000.00 to 52 recipients for the year. The floor was then opened for public discussion and followed by door prizes along with a $1,000.00 grand prize. The meeting was adjourned, and lunch was served to all in attendance by the local FFA Chapter.
