Monsoon and wildfire season go hand in hand for Southeastern Arizona and Southwestern New Mexico. This year, the amount of rainfall was considerably lower than usual but a robust wildfire season still came about that kept local fire crews jumping to keep ahead of all the action affecting our communities and surrounding areas. One of the fire departments that kept especially busy this season was Sunsites-Pearce which covers a large district area plus out-of-district fires and wildfires in Arizona, California and Colorado. When Valley received a letter asking for donations in the form of bottled water to help fire personnel directly, we got on task and delivered 50 cases of water to the station house to lend a hand. We salute all First Responders everywhere and know what a tough job they have in helping to protect the well-being of everyone in our service areas and beyond and we truly want to say thanks for their service. Just glad we could play a small part in supporting their efforts.
