Rex Allen Days is always a big to do in Willcox, AZ the first weekend of October with lots of activities to keep the public busy during four full days of celebration in honor of Rex Allen, the greatest singing cowboy star of movies and television and one of the biggest all-time recording stars in the history of CBS records.
Along with a Cowboy Hall of Fame induction ceremony, a pro rodeo, a carnival, a car and bike show, a gun show and lots of live entertainment including a free concert from Rex Allen Jr., one of the biggest events during the festival is the Annual Rex Allen Days Parade down historic Railroad Avenue. The parade features all sorts of floats and entries from schools, organizations and businesses in the area. Being headquartered in Willcox, Valley TeleCom always plays a prominent role as a sponsor for Rex Allen Days and always builds an original design for their float entry in the parade every year. This year’s theme for the parade was "Wild Wild West".
