Community Enrichment Program
Supporting community-driven projects that create lasting, meaningful improvements to the places where rural residents live, work, and gather.
Program Purpose
The Valley Telephone Cooperative Foundation (Valley) offers donations to educational and other tax-exempt nonprofit organizations within its service areas to strengthen the communities it serves. Through the Community Enrichment Program, the Foundation supports permanent community improvement projects that enhance public spaces, strengthen local infrastructure, and improve quality of life by investing in local schools, students, families, health care, and charitable organizations that help build stronger, safer, and more vibrant communities.
Award Details
Limit: Up to $10,000 per entity
Eligibility
- 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
- Community associations.
- Projects must benefit residents within the VTC service area.
Funding Priorities
- Community Infrastructure: Public facilities or shared spaces.
- Quality of Life: Health, safety, and community well-being.
- Technology & Access: Modernizing community centers or libraries.
- Environmental Stewardship: Protecting or restoring natural spaces.
Examples of Eligible Projects
Permanent improvements including:
- Park improvements and playgrounds
- Community beautification & revitalization
- Public safety enhancements
- Accessibility improvements
Not Eligible
- Political or religious activities
- Fundraising events
- Debt reduction or endowments
- Projects for a single individual or business
