January means a lot of things to a lot of people and for Valley, one of the big things is making scholarships available through our new online application process. Getting the word out to students and prospective students plays a huge part in our efforts as we visit all the High Schools and Colleges throughout our serving areas. This year we got to attend the “Cash 4 College” event held on January 19th in the Gerald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center on the Eastern Arizona College campus in Thatcher. There was a great turn out and we got to share information on Valley scholarships with over 100 individuals including High School and College students trying to prepare for their future through the continuing education process. Valley is proud to play the part we do every year with money from the Valley Telephone Cooperative Foundation and did you know we gave away $138,000.00 in scholarships last year alone.
