TNC bought three separate properties in Union County Oregon and even more recently sold them to Oregon Department Of Fish and Wildlife.  The money used for ODFW is mitigation money for building the Columbia River hydro system. (rate payers money which has raised 12% for irrigators using electricity this year).  After that deal was complete TNC purchased a big, working cattle ranch in the neighboring county, Wallowa. They have facilitated many thousands of acres out of private ownership just this year. If anyone has more information on the above article
